So earlier today I was sitting in my car listening to Alt Nation and to my surprise Depeche Mode came up. When I first think of this band my mind instantely goes to the late 80's, so instinctively I asked myself why would this station that is dedicated to new music play something so old? The answer is that this old school band that my 30-something year old uncle hailed in his highschool days is on the comeback..and not doing the greatest job. The song that was played, ironically called WRONG, was just that..wrong. The word wrong was said every other word, it was as if they couldn't think of anything to write.
The second band that is trying to make a comeback is U2. I was actually excited when I heard that these guys were making a new album since I had grown up listening to them(one of my fondest Fourth of July memories is triggered by Vertigo.) But then watching them at the Grammys I almost felt embarrased for them with Bono jumping around in his ridiculously large shoes. The song wasn't that great either..I mean Put Your Boots ON?? what kind of a name is that? Needless to say I was quite let down
